Fmoc-L-Valine

Fmoc-L-Valine

Fmoc-L-Valine;

N-(9-Fluorenylmethoxycarbonyl)-L-valine

CAS No.: 68858-20-8
Molecular Formula: C₂₀H₂₁NO₄
Molecular Weight: 339.39
EINECS No.: 272-515-0

Fmoc-L-Valine is a standard protected amino acid widely used in Fmoc-solid-phase peptide synthesis (SPPS). Its main applications include:

1. Therapeutic Peptide Synthesis
As a key building block for introducing valine residues into peptide chains, it is an important intermediate for synthesizing antitumor peptides, antimicrobial peptides, antiviral peptides, GLP‑1 analogs, somatostatin analogs, and other peptide drugs.

2. Construction of Cyclic and Constrained Peptides
The branched hydrophobic structure of valine improves lipophilicity, cell membrane permeability, and conformational stability of peptides, making it widely used in cyclic and long‑acting peptide drug development.

3. Chiral Pharmaceutical Intermediate
Used as a chiral source for the synthesis of small‑molecule enzyme inhibitors, receptor antagonists, and other chiral drugs.

4. Research Reagent and Peptide Library
Applied in combinatorial chemistry, peptide library construction, antibody‑drug conjugates (ADC), and biochemical assay substrate development.
